The Doghouse Approach…
What It Is…
✔ A partnership.
Learning to understand each other, not one of you controlling the other.
✔ Focus on safety, trust, and connection.
Fear-free dog behaviour support. Because a dog (and human!) who feels safe is in a better place to learn. Period.
✔ Practical and realistic.
No exhausting, rigid routines—just small, meaningful changes that will add up overtime.
✔ Built for everyday life.
So you can actually enjoy your dog, your walks, and your time together.
✔ Rooted in understanding.
Behaviour is communication. I help you listen.
What It Isn’t…
✖ A bootcamp.
No drilling, no forcing, no “do it because I said so.”
✖ Shaming you for past mistakes.
If you’ve tried other methods that didn’t feel right, you’re not alone. This is a space for learning, not guilt.
✖ About dominance or control.
Dogs don’t need to be put in their place—they need to feel safe.
✖ A quick-fix program.
We work with your dog, not against them.
Real change takes time.
✖ Making things worse.
No fear, no punishment—just practical steps that actually help.
